StepStone Solutions has deployed its modular solution
within the PSA Peugeot Citroën group, enabling Peugeot Citroën to
have world class tools available to deliver its global policy of
human resource development.
London/Paris, March 7, 2011 - StepStone Solutions,
a global leader in talent management, has deployed its modular
solution within the PSA Peugeot Citroen group, a business with
nearly 200,000 employees worldwide. StepStone Solutions will enable
Group PSA Peugeot Citroën to have world class tools available to
deliver its global policy of human resource development. This
implementation is part of Group PSA Peugeot Citroën's "Global HR"
project which aims to consolidate the process of HR development and
the manufacturer's new Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
This collaboration will for the first time enable optimised
processes for performance management, recruitment, internal
mobility, and career planning for executives, technicians and
supervisors in more than thirty countries.
Brayard Lionel, head of the 'Global HR' Project at Group PSA
Peugeot Citroën, says of the key issues behind the HR
modernisation: "Our goal is to put our employees at the heart of
our development process, to let them become the drivers of their
professional development. First, we want to offer our employees
motivational careers while meeting the needs of the Group, in a
sector that is rapidly changing and, secondly, provide operational
tools for managers to manage their teams."
StepStone Solutions, chosen for its proven experience in
implementing many international projects, will facilitate the
implementation of the various talent management modules and the HR
renewal process at PSA Peugeot Citroen. "The approach proposed by
StepStone Solutions was the most suitable for implementing our
approach to talent management by skill sectors," explains M.
Brayard. "Creating a solution for a large international business is
a real challenge, particularly as we need to take into account the
needs and expectations of three types of users: employees, managers
and HR managers."
"This is a high profile project which emphasises our true global
capability in major manufacturing companies," added StepStone
Solutions CEO, Matthew Parker. "As we see competition for
specialist and executive talent increasing worldwide, solutions
that support both employer and employee in having more productive
careers will become vital for retention and global
competitiveness."
The implementation of the different talent management components
has been planned step by step in a large project involving over 30
countries. Jonas Desdevises, Operations Director of StepStone
Solutions France, emphasises the importance of collaboration in the
success of the project: "It's our goal to give the best possible
support to the development needs of Group PSA Peugeot Citroën. A
real partnership has developed between our teams, allowing us to
reach the first deployment milestone in record time. After a
successful pilot project in late 2010, the deployment will be
extended to all 70,000 managers, technicians and supervisors during
2011. In a second step, solutions to facilitate recruitment,
internal mobility and employee career planning will be
deployed."
StepStone Solutions already counts many leading automotive
brands among its clients, including BMW, Ford, Fiat and
Bentley.
