The Challenge

Bayer is a Life Science company with a more than 150-year history and everyone is familiar with the products of the global Bayer Group. They meet you every day. The company follows the guiding principle: Science for a better life. This means combining economic success with social responsibility and environmental protection.

Naturally, a sustainable concept is also pursued in personnel management. Existing potentials within the company are systematically promoted in order to secure key positions with suitably qualified successors.

Why Lumesse?

Talent conferences play a central role in recruiting new managers. Through the Lumesse Talent Management Suite, the committees were able to get direct access to the most important personnel and career data in order to make forthcoming succession decisions and individually promote high potentials.

In addition, the new system offers employees plenty of opportunities to determine their own careers. Most of them maintain their own profiles and are able to identify strengths and deficits more quickly. Personal responsibility for one's own career is growing and so is the commitment to the company.

The know-how that is available "in-house", so to speak, is used and promoted efficiently. In addition, the motivation of the employees is significantly increased. This is a value that cannot be expressed directly in figures, but which was clearly expressed in the subsequent personnel appraisals.

"85 percent of the successors we have identified are available to us after just one year. This is extremely important for the strategic planning of our company. “
